Now offered at $99,000 after a recent price reduction, this rustic mountain cabin in Rockton provides a peaceful escape surrounded by the natural beauty of Pennsylvania’s State Forest lands. Set on approximately 10,018 square feet of leased State Forest land, the property offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a private-feeling retreat in a tranquil wooded setting.
Inside, the cabin creates a warm and inviting atmosphere centered around a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. The fireplace provides a cozy gathering point after a day spent hiking, hunting, exploring, or simply enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen offers the essential space for preparing meals during weekend visits, extended stays, or seasonal getaways.
The upper loft provides additional sleeping space with two bedrooms, making the cabin suitable for family and friends. The layout allows everyone to have a comfortable place to unwind while maintaining the relaxed character expected from a traditional mountain retreat.
One of the standout features is the spacious screened-in porch. This covered outdoor area provides a comfortable place to enjoy coffee in the morning, watch the surrounding scenery, relax in the evening, or listen to the sounds of nature without dealing with insects. It effectively extends the usable living space and creates a natural connection between the cabin and its forest surroundings.
An additional outbuilding provides useful storage for outdoor equipment, recreational gear, tools, or other belongings. Electricity is available, while the property currently has no water service, making it particularly suited to buyers seeking a rustic retreat rather than a conventional full-time residence.
The setting offers opportunities for outdoor recreation, including hiking, hunting, exploring the surrounding forest, and enjoying the peaceful mountain environment. With its wood-burning fireplace, sleeping loft, screened porch, kitchen, outbuilding, and secluded atmosphere, the property has the character of a classic Pennsylvania hunting camp while also offering the potential to become a relaxing weekend getaway.
Whether you’re looking for a seasonal cabin, hunting retreat, private escape, or a place to disconnect from everyday life, this Rockton property offers an appealing combination of rustic charm and natural surroundings. The recent price reduction makes this an especially interesting opportunity for anyone searching for a unique mountain retreat with plenty of outdoor appeal.
